BethanyKids at Kijabe Hospital (BKKH)

 

 

 

 

BethanyKids at Kijabe Hospital is a 67-bed inpatient facility dedicated to the holistic care of children with various surgical conditions and disabilities. The unit also includes a clinic area, two operating rooms and a rehabilitation area (currently an actual tent because of crammed facilities!). The unit has access to all Kijabe Hospital facilities, including ICU, nursery, imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy.

BKKH functions as a semi-autonomous unit within AIC Kijabe Hospital, overseeing the pediatric care of the hospital. Our staff includes surgeons, surgical trainees, nurses, therapists, chaplains, administration/finance staff and support staff.

Due to the continuous growth of children being treated at BKKH, plans are under way to build a new 80-bed inpatient and clinic facility on the same site. More about this exciting project here.
